Dr. Jacquie Preston

Dr. Jacquie Preston is a lifelong animal lover, born and raised in western Washington. Her deep connection with animals led her to a career in veterinary medicine. After earning her bachelor’s degree in animal science from Washington State University, Dr. Preston went on to graduate from WSU’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 2013 (Go Cougs!). Since graduation, Dr. Preston has been dedicated to serving her local community. When the opportunity to own her own practice came up, she knew it was the perfect next step in her career.

Dr. Preston values building strong, lasting relationships with both her patients and their owners. She has a special interest in surgery and dentistry, having completed several advanced courses to refine her skills in these areas. She’s always striving to improve patient care and outcomes. Beyond surgery, Dr. Preston is passionate about preventative care, improving quality of life, and pain management—especially for senior pets.

When she’s not caring for her patients, you’ll find Dr. Preston riding one of her horses or spending time on her farm. She’s an avid competitor in barrel racing and breakaway roping. Dr. Preston shares her farm with her long-term boyfriend, a variety of animals—including dogs, cats, cattle, goats, poultry, and even a pet bison! Family is a huge priority for Dr. Preston, and she loves spending time with her friends and loved ones when she’s not on the farm.

Angela

Angela’s journey in veterinary medicine began in 2004 when she first entered the field as an assistant in emergency care. Her passion for the industry quickly grew, and in 2011, she achieved the milestone of becoming a licensed Veterinary Technician after successfully passing the Veterinary Technician National Exam (VTNE).

Her passion for the industry quickly grew, and in 2011, she achieved the milestone of becoming a licensed Veterinary Technician after successfully passing the Veterinary Technician National Exam (VTNE).


In 2012, Angela transitioned to the role of Practice Manager for a general practice, where she was fortunate to have mentors who emphasized the importance of people management. This mentorship laid the groundwork for what would become her newfound passion for leadership in the veterinary world. It was during this time that she crossed paths with Dr. Jacquie Preston, a partnership that would shape the course of her career.


In 2021, Angela made the decision to return to her home state of Nebraska to be closer to family. But when Dr. Preston was ready to bring her vision of running a veterinary practice to life, Angela eagerly embraced the opportunity to become her managing partner. Together, they are dedicated to fostering the growth and development of their team, ensuring that their clinic delivers top-tier veterinary care to the local community.


Outside of work, Angela is a dedicated mother to an adult daughter and a teenage son, the latter keeping her on her toes with his athletic pursuits. At home, she shares her life with a spirited Schipperke mix, a laid-back three-legged Chihuahua, a nocturnal hedgehog, and a curious lilac boa constrictor. When she finds time for herself, Angela enjoys indulging in podcasts, books, crafting, gardening, and cooking, always seeking ways to nurture her creative side.

Valerie

With 20 years of experience in the veterinary field, Valerie has developed a deep passion for dentistry and urgent care. She finds fulfillment in helping patients achieve optimal oral health throughout their lives and being there to support them during those unforeseen urgent events. Valerie believes that maintaining a balanced life is key to enhancing both her professional abilities and her dedication to patient care. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her family and their two French Bulldogs, French Mastiff, and Chihuahua mix.

Jared

With a Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science from Washington State University (Go Cougs!), Jared is thrilled to join the team at Nurtured Noses. Born and raised in the Puget Sound region, he has spent over 9 years serving the pets and pet owners of this community.

With a Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science from Washington State University (Go Cougs!), Jared is thrilled to join the team at Nurtured Noses. Born and raised in the Puget Sound region, he has spent over 9 years serving the pets and pet owners of this community.

Jared is passionate about working with both dogs and cats, with a special interest in animal behavior, senior pets, and internal medicine. He also leverages his expertise in animal nutrition and behavior to foster a healthy, happy bond between pets and their owners. Despite his love for all animals, Jared’s heart belongs to chickens!

At home, Jared is managed by two horses, three dogs, one cat, and about 40 chickens. In his downtime, he enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, exploring the diverse ecosystems and communities of the Pacific Northwest.

Michelle

Michelle earned her Veterinary Assistant certification from Pima Medical Institute in Seattle and studied Equine Science at Scottsdale Community College. She kicked off her career in the early 1990s, working alongside veterinarians in both routine and emergency medical and surgical procedures. From day one, Michelle has been committed to helping animals and supporting their owners through a variety of care needs.

She kicked off her career in the early 1990s, working alongside veterinarians in both routine and emergency medical and surgical procedures. From day one, Michelle has been committed to helping animals and supporting their owners through a variety of care needs.


Beyond her veterinary training, Michelle is also a certified Phlebotomy Technician. She spent four years working in the lab at a military hospital but ultimately returned to veterinary medicine, driven by her love for working with a team of compassionate, animal-focused professionals. She takes great pride in ensuring pets and their families receive the best care possible, always rising to the challenges each day brings.


Michelle has two grown sons and lives in Eatonville with her husband, their chocolate lab, Sadie, two horses—Butterscotch the Quarter Horse and Yankee the Missouri Fox Trotter—and a fun assortment of ducks and chickens. When she’s not working at the clinic, Michelle is running her furniture refinishing business and managing her vintage home décor shop. In her free time, she loves antiquing, hiking, and camping with her family.
